About Hott + Hadley

HOTT + HADLEY WRITING CONSULTANCY was founded by the illustrious duo, Cory Hott and E. Hadley Passela, to help authors, entertainers, and entrepreneurs write books and break into the publishing industry by obtaining a literary agent and publishing deal. 

Hadley and Cory passionately believe that publishing a book shouldn’t be an arduous, time-consuming task. Unfortunately, the publishing industry is no longer easily accessible. No matter how great your book idea is, figuring out how to get it into readers’ hands can be confusing and time-consuming. Getting an agent can be emotionally draining, and for the amount of time you could spend querying agents, you could have written another book. And if you’re an entertainer or entrepreneur, simply finding the time to write your book is the biggest hurdle of all. 

That’s why Hadley and Cory founded Hott + Hadley Writing Consultancy: to bridge the gap between writers and the publishing industry, to help authors take the first step to finishing their books, getting an agent, and obtaining a book deal.  

With an immense passion for writing, Hadley and Cory believe that engaging storytelling should be at the heart of all forms of writing because at the end of the day, all humans are inherently captivated by stories. 

The pair formed their bond while obtaining BFAs in writing at the Savannah College of Art and Design. After graduation, the pair went on to work together at South magazine, where Cory was the managing editor and Hadley was a journalist. They continued their momentum for success in the field toward larger works by taking on editor roles at Difference Press. 

Together, Cory and Hadley have helped more than 150 authors publish 175 books. With their synergistic partnership through years of working together and breadth of experience, their writing consultancy focuses on helping entrepreneurs, influencers, and entertainers break into the publishing industry so they can share their book ideas with the world.
